MassGen holds two types of regular meetings to coordinate contributions.
Research Meetings
When: 6:00pm PST, on demand
Purpose:
- Identify and refine long and short term goals
- Propose concrete case studies to achieve short term goals
- Generate features that need to be developed
Who Should Attend:
- Research track contributors
- Anyone with feature proposals
- Team members interested in roadmap planning
Agenda:
- Identify and refine long/short term goals
- Discuss project vision and roadmap
- Prioritize objectives
- Review progress on goals
- Propose case studies around short term goals
- Define what should be achieved concretely
- Specify measurable outcomes
- Plan implementation approach
- Propose features based on case studies
- Connect features to case study outcomes
- Discuss technical approach
- Estimate effort and timeline
After Meeting:
Create GitHub issues for:
- Case studies discussed
- Features proposed
- Any bugs identified
Daily Sync Meetings
When: 5:30pm PST, every day
Purpose:
- Share progress updates from each track owner
- Coordinate across all tracks (research, dev, docs, marketing)
- Identify and address blockers
- Align on priorities for the next day
Who Should Attend:
- Track owners (required)
- Active contributors (encouraged)
- Anyone with updates or blockers
Meeting Format:
Quick round-robin updates (2-3 minutes per person):
- What I worked on today
- What I am working on tomorrow
- Any blockers?
How to Join:

- Request meeting link in #massgen channel
- Attend your first meeting as an observer
Meeting Best Practices
Prepare Your Update:
- Have your update ready before the meeting
- Keep it concise and focused (2-3 minutes)
- Note any blockers ahead of time
During Meetings:
- Stay on topic
- Respect time limits
- Take notes on action items
- Ask questions if unclear
After Meetings:
- Follow up on action items
- Update GitHub issues as needed
- Share meeting notes if you took any
